The 100 year old trigger assembly is perfect, simple, and very reliable, it may be a heavy trigger pull, break, however it is the best thing made before the lawyers were invented.

The RB1 trigger assembly sucks big time, it's been updated for the lawyers and it will not work having so many useless parts, a sear, an adjustable trigger.

No RB1 fancy curved hard steel plate to deal with.

A old 1800's straight tang trigger guard that matches the receiver will work with a bolt connecting them through the stock, sourcing one would be a challenge.

A new modern 12' long stock and forend will be sourced, the RB1 trigger guard is out. I've heard that the stock quality is questionable.

The way that the stock made and how it's attached to the receiver and trigger guard with a bent tang would eventually become loose and become unstable for long term use in hunting. The RB1 furniture looks nice, however it is inadequate also.A stripped receiver is going to be sourced for the build. The RB1 receiver is set up for the RB1 barrel, andВ with little modification, it will be accommodating the 100 year old parts needed to function.

I'm sourcing the barrel for the rifle build.

The RB1 barrel looks promising, it's 30'+ long, and it's heavy, really heavy to accommodate the 45-70 high pressure round, if the rounds being used are factory made this barrel will be the best thing hands down with no issues.

A fixed long range scope is the only way to go, one shot one kill.

The RB1В 'peep' iron sights are definitely not going to work, very impractical, they may h ave worked 100 years ago, however we are past all that, it's now a modern world of hunting.
